Frequently asked questions
Direct answers. No fine-print surprises.
These answers explain what Equal Rights Hub does, what it does not do, and how to use planned education and referral services safely.
Is Equal Rights Hub a law firm?
No. Equal Rights Hub does not provide legal advice, legal representation, or emergency legal services. Using this site or contacting the organization does not create an attorney-client relationship.
Are programs and referrals free?
Planned educational programs and referral assistance are free. Equal Rights Hub does not charge referral fees or receive kickbacks. Outside providers may have their own fees, eligibility rules, or capacity limits.
Can you tell me whether I have a legal case?
No. We can share general educational information and identify categories of outside resources. A licensed attorney or qualified legal-aid provider must evaluate individual legal circumstances.
Do laws and deadlines differ by location?
Yes. Laws, agencies, procedures, remedies, and deadlines vary by jurisdiction and may change. General nationwide content is not a substitute for current local advice.
What should I include in a contact message?
Share your name, email, state, a general topic, and a short question. Do not send Social Security numbers, medical records, immigration documents, payment information, passwords, complete case files, or time-sensitive legal documents.
Can I request an accommodation?
Yes. Use the contact form to request an accessible format, communication accommodation, or another reasonable adjustment. Describe what would make the interaction usable for you.
Are referrals endorsements or guarantees?
No. A referral does not guarantee provider availability, acceptance, eligibility, cost, deadline compliance, or outcome. You choose whether to contact any resource.
