About Equal Rights Hub
A clear, nonpartisan path through complex public information.
Our mission is to advance public understanding of civil rights through free education, accessible plain-language resources, public workshops, and qualified referrals.
Our purpose
Understanding comes before action.
People often meet civil-rights systems at stressful moments. Our role is to make reliable general information easier to understand, help people form useful questions, and identify trustworthy categories of outside help.
Florida residents and community organizations are the primary audience for our planned programs. Broader online materials may serve educational users nationwide when they include clear jurisdiction notices and legal-information disclaimers.
Operating principles
How we intend to earn trust
Source-aware education
Resources should identify authoritative sources, jurisdiction limits, and review dates as the public library develops.
Accessible by design
Clear headings, readable type, keyboard access, alternate formats, and reasonable accommodations guide our approach as programs develop.
Referral integrity
Neutral criteria, no kickbacks, no outcome promises, and more than one option when practical protect user choice.
Governance
Board oversight and mission-first controls.
Our IRS determination letter dated July 29, 2026 confirms federal income tax exemption under Section 501(c)(3) and public charity classification under Section 170(b)(1)(A)(vi). Our EIN is 42-4069276.
Our governance approach centers on board oversight, clear responsibilities, and accountability to the educational mission.
As programs develop, governance planning includes conflicts of interest, fiscal controls, privacy, accessibility, legal-information boundaries, referral standards, content review, and nonpartisanship. Final operating policies continue to develop alongside our planned programs.
